Little is known of this park without furthur research. It was established 1887 and closed 1932. It in early days was known as Woodstock Park. Created by the 'Overland Railway' and later owned by 'Nashville Railway and Light Company. It had a Carousel named 'Flying Jenny".
In 1869, a woodcarver and cabinet maker named Melchior Thoni moved to Nashville from Switzerland. He hand carved the wooden animals to stand on Nashville's first "Flying Jenny" as merry-go-rounds were called then.
