The Princess ferried passengers to and from Bayside Amusement Park once an hour from Whites Pier. It is unknown the date Bayside Amusement Park opened. It is assumed this pier had its share of 'amusements and recreation' in its time.
White Pier was built in 1910 and an early popular Dance Hall located at the west end of Main street where the seawall now stands. Boat rentals on its lower level and movies and dances in its upper ballroom provided many evenings of entertainment. The tornado of August 27, 1931 destroyed the structure.
