City Lake Park, 602 W. Main St.

Size: 969.00 acres

Distinguishing Features: The park has been renovated to improve access for the disabled. Features include: nine picnic shelters, may be reserved in four-hour blocks; fees vary according to shelter size, picnic tables, one gazebo, free-standing grills, and playgrounds scattered throughout the park.

Amusement rides - miniature train, merry-go-round.

Miniature golf.

Fishing, excursion boat, public boats, canoes, and fish boats. a 7,500 sq. ft. gymnasium equipped for basketball and volleyball. a playground (currently closed for renovation).

An amphitheater (capacity: 2,000) with a stage and power hook-ups. concession stands.

One non-regulation ball field.

Historical buildings (Friends Meeting House, Mendenhall Store). maintenance complex fish hut.

The 230-ft. X 165-ft. cross-shaped swimming pool was completely renovated in 1995. Features include: a conversation island, shallow water at both ends (maximum depth of five feet), new decking, and new gutters to increase water conservation.

Fees and rental policy? An admission fee is charged for the pool.

Tickets are sold for amusement rides. Companies or groups may rent all or a portion of the park and pool for their exclusive use.

Hours of operation? The park is open year-round except for a two-week period during the Christmas season. The amusement rides are open April through September. The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through the weekend before schools open.
